ANGSTROM SCIENCES TECHNICAL PRESENTATION AT THE 2014 SVC TECHNICAL SYMPOSIUM
(MAY 3 – MAY 8, CHICAGO, IL, USA)
Angstrom Sciences is pleased to announce that Richard Newcomb (ASI Director of R&D) will be presenting a paper at the SVC’s Large Area Coating session on Wednesday, May 7 (10:00 – 10:20 AM).
Traditional, large area coating applications using linear magnetrons are set up where a moving substrate is scanned past a stationary set of sputtering magnetrons. Architectural glass coating is one of the most common processes that use this type of system and magnetron configuration. However, certain applications require that the substrate remain stationary during the coating process particularly when substrate fragility and particulate generation are an issue. Richard will present a series of novel solutions and modeling simulations that take advantage of Angstrom Sciences unique technology to control the flux distribution from rotating cylindrical magnetrons. If you are unable to attend the presentation, please be sure to stop by our SVC booth (#1212) for a copy of the presentation.
Angstrom Sciences, Inc. is the premier global supplier of magnetron technology used to produce thin films through the “sputtering” process; used to manufacture advanced products, such as compact disks, energy efficient architectural glass, optical components, flat panel displays and micro-electronic devices.
